Assistant Coaches

No. I wont like it. Campbell has practically announced his entire staff and is poaching our players left and right. Our pets heads are falling off!!
And campbells staff are not bowl eligible. If ISU decided to accept a bowl - would he be this far along. Then I would really be pissed at his poaching.
Let’s compare apples to apples

??? Penn State is in the Pinstripe Bowl.

Aahh, nevermind. I understand you meant, the coaches he is poaching from ISU aren't involved in a bowl and thus available to discuss matters.

Doesn’t look like Jake Waters will be staying around. Read he’s going to be headed to PSU.
Interesting. Penn State message boards are reporting Trace McSorley will be retained. Current QB coach. Maybe he gets promoted. Highly thought of alum. Wonder if that was CMC decision or if he was told.

McSorley was assistant qb coach, and probably still will be

I'll be content to wait and see what Rocco wants. I think the smart play for him is to move on but he's a true Cyclone like the rest of us so he may surprise me.

Actually that’s a stupid move but he’ll make whatever decision he makes and we’ll respond accordingly.

I'm wondering the same, never even seen that OL team be mentioned for Joe Moore award that I'm aware of.
2022 Semifinalist

Mississippi (8-2)

• Block for one of the nation’s most prolific rush offenses that currently leads the SEC and ranks No. 3 FBS at 259.8 yards per game.

• Rebels are top 10 nationally in total rushing yards (No. 3, 2,598), rushing touchdowns (No. 7, 29) and total rushing attempts (No. 5, 479).

• Ranks second in the SEC and No. 23 in the FBS in fewest sacks allowed, yielding just 1.00 per contest.

• One of only five schools with three players over 500 yards rushing.

• Pushed Ole Miss to 448 rushing yards against Auburn on Oct. 15, the most by a Rebel rushing attack since 1962 and the fifth-most in school history (second-best against an SEC opponent); also ranks as seventh-best team performance in FBS for 2022 and the best against a Power-5 opponent.

• Has used three different starting lineups among six different starting offensive linemen, including two freshmen.

• 119 combined career starts, 153 combined career games played among six Rebel linemen to have started in 2022.

What The Voting Committee Is Saying: “The foundation of the Rebs success is their O-line. They’ve created one of the most unique run schemes in all of college football. Despite play call, tempo or formation, they continue to play a physical brand of ball and find ways to finish, which is extremely hard to do in a scheme like that. They’re asked to do a lot mentally and M/A’s (missed assignments) and M/E’s (mental errors) are rarely made. It is a group that has a great understanding of how to operate with one another to find success.”

Offensive line coach: Jake Thornton

I can’t find pff stats but auburn ranked 74th in sacks allowed in 2024

In 2025 they rank 131 out of 134 in sacks allowed. That’s obviously not all on the oline but that’s still not good.

Not sure where this account gets their stats from they clearly aren’t happy

Ole Miss had really good offensive lines under Thornton in '21 and '22. The last three years Auburn has been a mess under Hugh Freeze, I'm not real willing to pin a lot of the blame for that on the o-line coach, but feel free.

I saw a tweet where they said PFN (?) had them at 24th best offensive line overall. Here it is:
