Arnaud or Tiller? And will coaching change affect this?

Our offense can move the ball, but I'd like to see Rhoads improve on Chizik's abysmal red zone conversion rate. Punch the ball into the end zone.

Take a deep breath and repeat after me... The man needs to win.

He will play the best player and he will hire the best coaches he can get.

I'm less worried about the quarterback position and more worried about our entire defense. Arnaud's reputation would be a heck of a lot better if we had a defense.

. . . there was talent on the bench that would have put more wins on the board.

How do you know this? I'm not challenging you, I just wish to know what you know. Are you speculating? Do you have the inside word? Are you making a judgment based on attendance at practices?

Who are the talented players on the bench to whom you refer?

Thanks.

I never understood the reason why Chizzled played so many true freshmen when there was talent on the bench that would have put more wins on the board. Coach Rhoads will play the best players not the favorites.

So you must have the inside track on how everyone was doing in practice and how everyone was executing the plan on gameday and how everyone was meeting the goals that were set forth.

Also, I assume you have a crystal ball that tells you if you had substituted a bench guy for a guy on the field it would have resulted in more wins somehow.

I'm not denying that Arnaud is the better player. Here's an example of how a new coach can change a team: Texas A&M. Stephen McGee was a 3 year starter I believe. Mike Sherman comes. Jerrod Johnson is named the starter because he is believed to be the future of the team.

I am not the formost expert on A&M by any means, but I'm pretty sure that McGee was injured this season, and didn't regain his form until late in the season when Johnson had taken the team on his shoulders.
I don't think the McGee references are too apt for this situation.

What's the deal? Did he push you down at recess or something?
and he called my mom fat.

no honestly i just do not see why everyone loves him so much... he stats are good, but when it counts he just doesn't get it done at all. i want to see tiller because i want to believe the hype around him.

ultimately i would like to see a true 2 QB system. not like this last year with Aranud taking 75% of snaps and bates getting 25%

I'm not sold on Arnaud yet either, but I've seen him getting stronger with experience. If he can't hold onto that, and isn't the guy we thought he could be, I'll welcome Tiller getting his shot.

Plus, like Rhoads, it seems obvious that Arnaud actually wants to be a Cyclone. And that means something.

I highly disagree with that sentiment. He carried the team many times. Is it his fault the recievers sometime dropped crucial passes? No. He proved he can be the guy to get the job done, if we had a Defense, you'd be singing Arnauds praises.

Arnaud will be the starter. He's already the team leader. His issue is sometimes he's too nice. He needs to be willing to get in some people's faces sometimes.

Tiller will play, there's no doubt about that, but I full well believe that Austen could very well be one of the top QB's in the conference by his senior year.

Hopefully he doesn't pull a Meyer, and peak his sophomore year.

The kid is only going to be a Jr...so I am not sure where you are going with this. This debate really bothers me. Austen proved he is the man this season; he threw for almost 3000 yards and had 15 tds and you guys want someone else??? Talk about rebuilding...

I think it will be nice to have a QB that can come off the bench a couple years to get acclimated before getting thrust into the starting role. It helped Arnaud immensely this year that he had a year of relief work.

Isn't it sad how many former Cyclones' last names have become negative verbs?

This guy Chiziked us, that guy pulled a Meyer, etc.

Here's hoping current Cyclones Sanderson the hell out of this season.

Agree with that. Yeah I'd love to see Tiller get some PT, but I think Arnaud has proven himself to be a great player, and if he can continue to keep this up he deserves to be kept as starter. I don't even know why this topic was brought up to be honest. It isn't even spring ball yet, and see how Tiller is stacking up against the competition.

YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING POTENTIAL QBS:
arnaud
tiller
darius "money" reynolds
and mchargue(sp)
i am certain there will be a real challenge between these 4 kids.
may the best one win and take us to 6 victories and to a bowl next year.. that would be great!!!!!!!!!!

How did we finish? Tiller needs a good look ,think he might be the man
We lost the last games because of the defense. Didn't we get like over 600 yards of offense in the last game at K-State? Offense isn't the problem.
