Isn’t that what this is all about? Orr and Hoiberg got the rafters and floorboards rocking and never really won the big one.

Larry had a deep run with promise.

TJ has these boys and the program looking like it could be a pale blue blood.

We should expect a solid product. We should hope for great results. We ought to remember our roots, “as the most believingiest fanbase who will yell our hearts out for a mid team with 1-2 studs”

Let’s not let that spirit sour when our program actually gets strong enough to support our prior delusions.

At the end of the day, “are you not entertained?!”

I am. LSFT. LFG.

I don't disagree at all with the premise but I'd be careful saying that stuff. Neal Brown has all but been crucified for essentially saying that.

Which is a problem. You want a coach focused on winning, building a program and developing young people into strong professionals (whatever they develop into)

Look at all the great coaches. They don’t win it all every year. But if you get to a certain level you break through when the timing is right. TJ has raised the base level of the program. Faster and to a level few imagined.

I think we do gain more as a team from a loss to a great team than we do from three wins over bad teams. This is one hell of a tough stretch, but we'll be better for it.

I was entertained. That was a very high quality game with some crazy shot making by both teams.

Likewise, I feel like TJ has the ability to put ISU on this list someday. Will it happen? Who knows. But similar to what Campbell has built, it feels less like a fluke recruiting win/catch lightening in a bottle and pray that everything works out. It feels more like something solid is being constructed.

We're obviously a top 10 team. If we play Auburn 10 times, we're winning 5. That was extremely high level college basketball, and a few correctable things down the stretch cost us the game. Control defensive rebounds, and we win that game.

Honestly being our first real high level game when they had already played one may have been enough of a difference given the tight margin it ultimately ended up being. They got to learn from that experience and we had not yet had that.
