Espn power rankings has us behind BYU and Coastal. What a joke.
Haven’t looked but I’m sure we’re just hair ahead of Penn St too.... a hair.

I'm probably being overly pessimistic of voters, but I wouldn't be surprised if we stay at #12. Not how I would vote, necessarily, just trying to guess what voters actually do.

ISU's position could depend how voters handle BYU's drop & Coastal's rise ... if it's equal "punishment" vs. reward, BYU drops below Coastal, which jumps us for a "top 10 win," but still stays higher than ISU. That'd be lame, but I could see it happening. I think Georgia drops below ISU & OU due to inactivity (although I couldn't even guarantee voters will do that).

I doubt we jump IU, in fact Indiana might even pass Miami - they were only 7 points apart last week and beating then-#18 Wisconsin holds more weight than throttling Duke.

Had we not lost to Louisiana we would probably be 6-8 right now.

I have to believe that we’d be at #5 and knocking on the door of the CFP. Without the loss to LA we could have likely entered the rankings ahead of A&M after the OU win.

Gotta believe there will be a number of voters that jump off the BYU bandwagon now that they don't have to worry about the undefeated hype.
We'll move to 11th, 10th at best.

Just saw the coaches poll is out. ISU up 1 spot to #11 with a win over tough WVU who has a winning record. Iowa moves up 6 spots with a win over ****** Illinois team with 2 wins.

And ND might be the worst #2 ranked team ever.

ND probably could win a lot vs. a better schedule than it has, and can't "blame" a team for winning most of the games with opponents available, but for a #2 team, the SOS is weeeeak. Combined record of opponents: 38-58 ... keep in mind, that's with a 9-1 team on the schedule.

Highest ranked 2 loss team. Time to quit the 'no respect' refrains from here on out.

CMC brings wins and respect to ISU.

Why NOT Iowa State? No ******* reason WHATSOEVER!

Non-ISU poll note, with ISU-related detail. Alabama now has the third-longest streak of consecutive appearances in history of AP poll. In first place is Nebraska, whose streak spanned from October 1981 to September 2002.

Remember which team ended that streak? :)

We're getting respect because we've earned respect. Well, getting respect from everyone without the letters E, S, P, and N in their name, anyway.

A few weeks ago I was fine with people putting OU in front of us.

But Iowa State is actually passing the eye test better than OU lately.

At this point it's also hard to ignore that ISU is doing something right with covid cases/tests. That matters this year.

Iowa and Wisconsin are both top 5 national hotspot states for a comparison. ISU clearly excelling at keeping the players isolated compared to Wisc in spite of Iowa statistically being one of the toughest places to do so. Give Iowa credit for the same thing.

Iowa and Wisconsin in there is an utter farce.

Wisconsin ranked at 2-2 at this point is almost as silly as people who needed Penn State to be top ten at 0-0 when SEC, Big 12 and ACC teams had 5 games under their belts.

Wisconsin has only played 1/3 of a season and they're .500 without quality wins. When before has that ever equalled ranked team? 4-5 loss SEC/B12/ACC teams should be ranked before them. TCU has a better case to be ranked.
