Anyone with FB walkons information?

I don't know any but I know one JUCO that isn't. Cason (3*) from Iowa Central I think is going to UNI. Heard it from his boss with him standing there at work the other day. They said they felt that was the best fit for education for him. Something about giving him a personal tutor, etc. I don't know if we were looking at him at all but it's just what I know.

Ty Larsen from roosevelt gonna come on as a lb at 210 played this year at d-end at 240 says he's gonna be runnin about 4.7

That Ben Davis kid that was playing for Wahlert is going to walk on at either ISU or Iowa, but he doesn't know yet.

Hello...?

Don't let my feeble attempt at humor kill this thread. I wan't some WO info too...

I have never heard this, do you mean all quiet on the Western Front? What does quiet on the walk on front mean?

Should have said quiet Cyclone front right now. I'm not hearing much from here or CR on walk ons. I like to watch and see who comes in to help the cause onthe field

Walk-ons don't sign a NLI. A NLI in football guarantees that the athlete will have their financial aid and all that jazz covered by the school. It's basically signing a scholarship agreement.

Walk-ons don't receive an athletic scholarship and therefore don't sign a NLI.

Sorry, I was only jesting.

I would suspect we have lots of intrigue going on right now to hget people to walk on and the less w e know the better from coaches standpoint. That said, Nebraska has identified 16 people to walk on as they reinvigorated their program. They want to suck up any potnetial D-1 player from leaving their state.

Did he even start at Ankeny?

I don't know if he started or not, but he has decent size and here he is making a play in the Championship game.....good frame, don't know about speed......6'-4" - 200 lbs, so he's got room to put on some mass and remain quick, played Tackle and End in High School.....

Let him come in work with Shep and see if he can compete...nothing wrong with that.....

saw zeggers the other day, he has gotten huge used to be a tall lanky kid, he has added a lot of muscle and he has the frame to add more

This has nothing to do with this discussion but I've wondered about it. If you are a walkon and get into game action but are not on scholarship can you transfer without having to sit out a year?

There is nothing better than when a walk-on has a great career at ISU. Not to mention that walk-ons never have all the off the field issues that scholarship players seem to have.
