I quit about a year ago. Transitioned to Bubly. Flavor isn't great but it's carbonated and somewhat refreshing. Now that I'm away from soda it seems totally gross to me.

I used to drink a lot of it, but then I decided to stop putting poison in my body.
water, barley, hops, yeast all natural and good stuffstill drink beer right?
Yep! I don’t think I’m in a better place though because now I drink Monster Ultras with the 10 calories.I am absolutely addicted to Diet Mt Dew! I like other sodas but I don't crave them. I wish I could stop drinking DMD cold-turkey but it won't happen. Anyone here have any success quitting soda? Any advice on doing so? Something to help with the transition to...water? I am not someone who feels everything I put in my body needs to be the healthiest stuff ever...but I drink way too much DMD and that can't be good! Appreciate any advice/guidance IF I choose to go down this path! Thanks!
My motivation to stop drinking Diet Mt Dew was reading somewhere that it contains a substance that is used in flame retardants. I also realized that instead of trying to eat more foods that were antioxidants for my health, I needed to stop eating the oxidants... sugar. I replaced it with water, tea and juice with apple cider vinegar. Joints and gut feel so much better.
Tell me about that.
I drank a lot of soda in college and after. I worked construction for the summer after graduation and my boss loved his Dr. Pepper and we had soda breaks every day. I got tired of all that sugar, I was gaining weight, and kept getting terrible heartburn so I cut out the regular soda intake. I just stopped buying it. Also found out I had a hiatal hernia. Tried switching to coffee, which I like, and I can only do a couple of cups before it tears my guts up. Years ago I switched to tea as advised by my doctor. I found green tea gives me terrible heartburn so I switched to black tea. I hated it at first but I needed the caffeine so I kept going. Controlled the heartburn with meds and lots of Tums. Two hears ago I got the hiatal hernia fixed (best thing I ever did) and now I can drink coffee and soda without a problem. I only drink soda on occasion as once in awhile I just want a soda. The last soda I had was, what, three weeks ago?
