Boo Hoo!!! Me and thousands of others had to go to school during the McDermott years. You know how much fun watching those teams lose in Hilton 6-8 times a year was????
Trust me, going to a game now would be a lot more fun than it was when McD was here.. You could show up at tipoff and get good seats back then. Luckily for me, I was a student during a couple of Wayne Morgan's years which actually had some success and exciting games.
Wayne Morgan basketball was always fun to watch. Slightly organized streetball.
I will be there bright and early. Booze will be consumed, food will be brought, magic will be in the air, and fun will be had by all.
Those were some bad years. Try going to school a from 06-10. You saw 4 years of McDermott, the final year of McCarney and the disaster that was Gene Chizzledick. Luckily the last year of football wasn't so bad. But man, those were some brutal times.
You forgot to say thank you.... kids these days.
Also, Erik's gonna be ******. CW won't even give him coupons.
Back then getting there when the doors opened was considered really "early". I would have killed to have to show up 5+ hours early to watch a hoiberg coached ISU team play Kansas or any top 25 team for that matter.
At least you were rewarded.
My buddies and I drove to IC Friday night and watch the Volleyball team beat UofI, sat in the Student section awesome, and then were rewarded for our loyalty to a beat down. I remember yelling at Rhoads as he ran like Usain Bolt off the field at the end. Yikes I was upset.
But back on topic. I love all of you camping.
I did that too. Had fun, but only got about 10 minutes of sleep that night. After the the game and a bit of celebrating, I passed out for 16 hours
