Went to Walmart and Target to get Halloween candy (for the kids). Where’s the 100 Grand bars? Everything is Reese’s and Skittles. While I do love me some Reese’s cups, I need variety. There was almost no caramel options at all.

Im thinking a class action lawsuit or anti-trust case would bring Halloween back to reality. Who’s signing up with me?

If we bought Halloween candy this early, we wouldn't have any left to hand out. Kudos to you and your self-discipline.

You can buy Halloween candy on Amazon, Walmart, and Target online. They will ship it to you. Whatever you want. Hope that helps grandpa.

We don't really get trick or treaters but I notice the candy around for sale...why is a bag of halloween candy $26 one place and $10-12 somewhere else and they seem like the same size? Is it just me or has it gotten astronomically expensive? I feel like you could grab the 2-for deal of full size candy bars at Target or Wal Mart and get a way better deal.

Hate? I don't even know what's in it, and I definitely didn't when I was a kid.

chocolate rice and caramel, like a crunch with caramel center...although I don't think they have ever been advertised to kids unlike Skittles and Reeces where we blast all children with a firehose of advertising their entire life.

Whatchamacallit or bust

My brother still takes great pride in buying and handing out full size candy bars (although no doubt they have been downsized over time). He always send me a picture of his dining room table stacked with candy. I am like, go for it, you want to drop $500 on candy, more power to you.

Depends on the type/size of candy in the bag. There are 200-piece bags for $30, but that might include the really tiny snack sized candy bars and some of the less popular stuff. Same for 150-piece and 100-piece bags.

I just get a ton of those bags of "Fun Size" Snickers, Reese's Cups, Twix, Milky Way, Butterfinger, Kit Kat, Three Muskateer, etc. They've been on sale at Hy-Vee this week for $3.99/bag.

Not all heroes wear capes.

When I bought my first house, I sprung for mini Heath bars at Halloween because I thought/think they are elite. Of the 60-70 kids that came to our house, every single one of them either didn’t take a piece or took a piece and gave it to their parents and didn’t drop it in their bag. Sold out the next year and did Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

The bags I’ve seen approaching $30 at CVS cannot be anywhere near a good deal, I need to look closer how many they include but it’s not a huge bag. That ain’t fun size. Fun size is the gigantic Hershey bar in the same store for $2.49.
