Am I A Bad Person...

My wife has been watching and I told her that I only keep watching with her because I am waiting for one of the skaters to come over right after their program and pound Scotty Hamilton into a pulp one of those times after he yells at the top of his lungs when they land a jump. They have to be able to hear him.

The sound guy has to hate him. I don't know how they can keep a level on his mic...

I refuse to watch Johnny Weird.

My wife asked me this exact same question when I got home from work, tonight. She feels guilty about it.

Yep, I feel really guilty about it, but it's the only reason I can stand to watch figure skating. (It's an added bonus to skiing, snowboarding, etc., too.) I wouldn't want anyone to get hurt, and I feel guilty because I know someone worked really hard to get where they are (not to mention the shattered dreams) - but it's still kind of funny when some of the performers take themselves way too seriously.
