Do you have any indication that he told Dendy anything differently privately than he told the public?

That does not sound any worse than the large number of migrating players this year. We lost Pomlee (kicked off like a Mike Taylor), Lucca to the German pro bench, Buck, Ham, Gilstrap due to NCAA Gestapo, and CB to some pro team. Now, if we do not lose a scholarship or two from this year, why were we so penalized from the changeover post Wayne. There must be some more shoes to drop from the NCAA for this mumbo jumbo season. We woill probably hear the NCAA news in late Apr. We may not have a smany jucos as we think. We may be looking for walk-ons.

It depends on if they leave in good academic standing and are on track to graduate.

First you hint that McDermott and Dendy had some other kind of understanding when it came to the telling the public that he couldn't trust Dendy. Then you contradict yourself by saying that we should take McDermott at his word.

So either he really couldn't trust him like he said. or he could trust him and told Dendy he could trust him but then went to the media and said that he couldn't.

Hey, I am not claiming to be "in the know" like KG and then give ridiculous. Statements. My ridiculous statements are my own opinion and people can agree or disagree. But KG puts out statements like he knows things other people don't and then never backs them up or makes vague/empty one line replies.

You gotta start somewhere. If he doesn't want to take it up, then maybe one of the other guys on 1460. Perhaps now is not the right time with the NCAA tournament about to start, but come summer, when they are desperate for material, it may be a good time to bring it up again.

maybe 60 years ago but what does he do now? it is not like he is a famous alum that can help bring in recruits. It is not like we can bring a recruit in here and then bring in Thompson to talk to him. they would say who the hell is this old guy.

Hey that is just my opinion. apparently you are a little too sensitive about statements regarding gary thompson. I know he donates a lot of money and that he is a cyclone legend for his playing days and broadcasting. But does that mean he is immune from criticism when especially when he was a huge factor in bringing Gregg in here and probably a huge factor why he is still around?

And I believe that it is true that he can't help bring in recruits. Do you think he can? Now what he does is strictly monetary for ISU. and hey great for him that he is in the position to do that but I don;t know that should give him the ability to decide who is the coach here.

I don't really want to get into this argument, but there is a difference between criticism and petty name calling. And with that, I'm gonna be done with this thread because the merge made it annoying to use and the other convo has degenerated to arguing like all fire Mac now threads.
