The Gesell era is over

Untrue. Do you guys not know anything? Gesell, Woody, et al will be heading down to Ft. Lauderdale for a big national convention where they'll help get Proposition 15 voted down, meet some hot chicks and go to the beach, get busted for stealing a car, get bailed out but then kidnapped and dumped on a deserted island.

Re: Iowa/Villanova

I guess Villanova got the memo: Iowa must be destroyed. Ok maybe that was KU. At least they got destroyed. Although one game late.

Oh, ISU is on a different level. But ISU fans act like they are a shoe in for the Elite 8 every year, like the are on the level of a typical Duke/UNC/MSU, which they arent...yet.

We've been ranked in the top 25 for consecutive weeks longer than all of those schools. But you're right, obviously, we're not a blue blood program. Nobody here is acting like we are. But yeah, we're on a completely different level right now then Iowa.

Is it normal to be on a rival's message board while you're playing a game against a different team?

i'll hang up and listen

ISU doesn't have to be Duke to be significantly better at basketball than Iowa.

There's no comparison, and yet trolls like yourself persist. Uthoff is not close to Niang's level. He's a gifted athlete who shrinks in big moments. Niang is simply a stud and all time great player in the state of Iowa. It's been hilarious listening to dozens of trolls like yourself ignore this clear reality all season. Priceless.

How am I trolling? I agreed a few posts back that ISU is on a different level than Iowa on the basketball court. And Niang has had a lot of great showings to end the year, unlike Uthoff. You could head over to the Iowa site and you wont find a logical fan who would disagree that Uthoff disappears late in games or with a defender in his face.
He is way more athletic than Niang, and im not sure how anyone could argue that. However, being more athletic doesnt mean he is a better offensive player than Niang.

But then again, one of them was a top 10 candidate for the player of the year....and one wasnt.
There....my only actual trolling post ive made all day!

It says a lot that it's hard to decide which is worse. 3 appearances at 2-3 or 2 appearances at 2-2.

Neither is comparable to ISU's run over the same period yet the trolls persist here.

Play in games don't count. They're 2-2 in their two appearances in the tourney in Franny's tenure.

The thing some of them don't get now...when you're in the tournament 5 straight years with a good seed in 3/5 at some point you're going to have a favorable path.

We already played a 2 seed on the road like they just did...and we played them much much better. We already played an eventual champ...TWICE.

ISU is a consistent top 20 program, ranked for 3 years straight...but hey listen to Murph & Andy tell you Iowa is the program shooting straight to the top, see where those hacks get you.
