7)Hawks vs 2) 'Nova

Woodbury and Gessell combined for a total of 7 points and 9 fouls.

So much fun looking back at how Iowa fans thought they had a better class the year we signed Niang, Naz and multiple stud transfers. Such hilarity.

If anyone expected different, they hadnt watched Iowa since Jan. The seniors, outside of Uthoff, typically give close to 0 production, including 2/22 against the Illini in the b10 tourny

It's so ******* perfect. After all the garbage about Iowa this year in football and basketball, it ends to poetically for Cyclone fans.

**** yea!

Just wanted to go back to this post and argue that Villanova probably had an easier route to the Sweet 16 than ISU did this year.

I really don't get Iowa basketball fans talking smack.

ISU has 3x the NCAA wins in the past 5 years...and if they bring up head to head the domination is even greater.

What an embarrassing goose egg by the greatest Iowa team in 15-years. Temple would have made it a closer game. Who's gonna run point for them next year?

6-5 in 5 seasons is dramatically better than 2-3 in the same 5 years. That's 3x as much winning.

Iowa basketball fans, which includes much of the Iowa media, are living in an alternate reality to think these programs are on similar levels. Nevermind that won team one two conference tournaments and the other gets beat by a horrible team in the first round of a conf tourney every year.

Oh, ISU is on a different level. But ISU fans act like they are a shoe in for the Elite 8 every year, like the are on the level of a typical Duke/UNC/MSU, which they arent...yet.

2-2, not 2-3.

Woodbury's final collegiate basketball moment will always be getting inadvertantly head-butted.

Massive rep to anyone that makes a Hawkeye highlight reel of bad plays to the tune of one shining moment.

ISU doesn't have to be Duke to be significantly better at basketball than Iowa.

There's no comparison, and yet trolls like yourself persist. Uthoff is not close to Niang's level. He's a gifted athlete who shrinks in big moments. Niang is simply a stud and all time great player in the state of Iowa. It's been hilarious listening to dozens of trolls like yourself ignore this clear reality all season. Priceless.

Lots of 1's going on here. I'm too confused. :D
