No, vacating only affects Iowa's official record. Is the 2023 game awarded to ISU?
I’d be tempted to give cooper’s TD if they take the losses to Utah State and Western Michigan.Let get this correct and not make it our version of "It wasn't a fair catch."
We keep the loss, they lose the victory.
I wish Kirk would have retired, this took him back to second place on Big wins, and he remained first in losses!Kinda puts a crimp in Ferentz winning percentage.
Does this mean he is not the winningest coach in Big Ten football history now?Kinda puts a crimp in Ferentz winning percentage.
Kirk needs 60% winning percentage to make the HOF. He had it with the 4 wins. Now he needs to win 9 games this year to get it back.Does this mean he is not the winningest coach in Big Ten football history now?
As of September 2025, Iowa's Kirk Ferentz is the winningest coach in Big Ten football history. He surpassed Ohio State's Woody Hayes (205 wins) by securing his 206th career victory while coaching at Iowa. Ferentz achieved this milestone in his 27th season leading the Hawkeyes
I honestly thought this was the record he wanted to have and the main reason why he was still coaching when they fired his son as offensive coordinator. (Can you imagine that...watching your own son get publicly embarrassed, and yet still coach at the same University...for your own glory?)
Which would explain why the squawks fought vacating the wins.Kirk needs 60% winning percentage to make the HOF. He had it with the 4 wins. Now he needs to win 9 games this year to get it back.
