Damn, Notre Dame at Miami is that week. Bet they go there.

Miami is a (slight) underdog for their game against Virginia Tech next week per Sagarin. I could still see them going even if Miami loses. But if the Hurricanes lose and the Clones and Cowboys win, I think Ames would have the edge.

I disagree. ESPN is foaming out the mouth at that Miami Nortre Dame rivalry to start up again. I'm just afraid it will all be due to name.

If Iowa State wins next week to go to 7-2, they will be the best story in college football going into 11/11. It would also give ESPN a chance to do a feature on the 2011 game with the opponent being Oklahoma State. I am actually pretty confident that if ISU and OSU win and Miami or ND loses, we get GameDay. But if Miami and ND win I think that game gets the edge with both of them in the mix for the CFP.

I think it'll be Miami-Notre Dame, which is too bad. We shouldn't be punished for our habit of beating potential playoff times.

Why can't we all be thrilled one of our own has chosen to even WAVE the flag. Lots of back-seat cooks.

WELL DONE!

Easy there, killer. All posted in jest, just a bit of humor around the athletic department's/Nike's new favorite base color.

The Gameday sign has had my full support all along!

Nah, Catholics vs Convicts has been done, I think they would come here for the Novelty (TM), which they could talk about coming back from each commercial break. "Did you know Iowa State has never been good? Let's look at some stats of futility", etc. Like today about the games vs ranked opponent record.

They won't be in Ames for a Big 12 game. They've already made it clear with today's broadcasting that the Big 12 is out of contention. I've already heard many making excuses for a 1 loss tOSU to get in over OU, because, well, "Their only loss was to OU." They will not promote Ames, because it goes against their agenda. It would be like Trump showing up to an anti-combover rally.

Gameday is going to Stillwater for Bedlam this weekend. That doesn't bode well for them coming to ISU for the OSU game a week later. I bet they already know they will be in Miami on 11/11. Oh well.

Anybody else hear the guy on Fox (I believe) who said "If you're a fan of the Big 12, Iowa State winning is not good." Like we give a flying fig about how this effects the Big 12. smh
He's right. If your a fan of the conference and want a team in the playoffs, ISU winning is not good. That being said, IDGAF.

When I heard that, my first thought was - so are the Cyclones supposed to just roll over & die so the "big dawgs" get bigger? The hell with that!!!

Hopefully Virgina Tech beats Miami next week, ISU beats WV, and OSU wins Bedlam. However, because of ND alone, that Miami/ND game is likely to get ABC primetime.
