Sorry to pick on you.... it's all the Vonn naysayers... not just you! Hope you've thought more about it though... and decided you were wrong on this.
I think some people believe she was a washed up 41 year old.... and yes... that might have been a totally different story. But as of late this season she was as good as anyone in the world, if not better, and even had one of the best training runs of anyone with her knee. Granted it was training though.
I admire her guts and her success and ability... that's all.
Exactly. In a world where athletes take breaks for minor things instead of competing for the love of a sport, I admire her drive and passion. We need more athletes like these olympic athletes and less primadonas.

Do you doubt that Vonn believed she could win? She's been doubted LOTS in her life, and has come through before. But nobody is guaranteed anything... especially in downhill skiing... the top 5 favorites could all catch a groove, or in Vonn's case come too close to a gate, and crash... and the 6th best skier could take gold. It's a VERY thin line. Vonn definitely could have won it with an amazing run.

100%. At least they cut in to all the Vonn coverage to air the medal ceremony for Breezy Johnson... the American who actually won. Lol.
