Long break between Oct. 3 and Oct. 31 for home games at the Jack
I think the only reason we got 2 last year is because of the Week 0 game in Ireland. But could be wrong.
I thought we had 3 bye's last year?
Last year was a 14-week season. Everybody got 2.
ISU got 3 because of Week 0 (12 games in 15 weeks).
This year, it's a 13-week season. Everybody gets 1.

Makes sense. I knew we got an extra bye due to the Week 0 Ireland game. Didn't put the 13 week vs 14 week season together. Much appreciated.
Also only two home games in October.

No ASU, No TTech. Seems pretty favorable all things considered.
Our October home games have been limited the past few seasons. Those are my favorite tailgating games.
Actually, that might be very doable for me. About 2:15 drive.
My in-laws are in Tampa (well Palm Harbor but close enough).
Hopefully I can convince everybody to do Thanksgiving in the warm Florida autumn instead of the cold Iowa one this year (even if hauling the kids down there is a pain) and I can sneak away.
I did exactly that for the UCF basketball game last year after a waterpark in Orlando during the day.
The last time we've had more than 2 home games in October is 2015. We are typically only going to get 2.
That's going to be a Cyclone invasion. Just look at our basketball games there.
I think we go 3-3 before the bye and 4-2 after the bye to finish 7-5.
O/U on how many years it will be until we play Penn St. I'm betting 2.
