Wouldn't be surprised if it eventually happens but for now sounds like it was a false report of the John Deere Classic moving from Quad Cities to Chicago:

Whether JD Classic moves or not, it's crazy to me that Chicagoland doesn't have a tour stop. Plenty of high end courses that could handle one, and a very large supply of golfers/fans in the area to support it. (maybe the courses aren't pushing too hard to get one???)

I loved going to the Western Open, but it definitely helped that my sister could get me VIP passes to the Comed tent....

You are spot on. It sounds like (maybe?) future schedules will have more large cities hosting bigger tournaments. We probably don’t need to have 8 tournaments in Florida and Texas. I know the tour is trying to balance places like the quad cities, Hartford and Hilton head supporting tourneys for so long but it could be more creative.
