MLB: ***2026 MLB Season Thread***

Know nothing about the guy but they did need a guy that can play 3rd base. I've been baffled by all of "rumors" linking them to infielders that play 2nd when they have Chisholm at 2nd. Anyway, lefty so maybe he can hit away from Coors Field, some Rockies just can't. Skeptical he will hit in NY.

He's one of best Rockies have so glad they are shipping him out.

Now waiting to see how bad Judge's elbow is and whether he will need TJ. What a way for a historically great individual season to end. Seems almost inevitable that something bad would happen.

If he is done they should sell, sell, sell and phone it in.

AJ Preller just traded a consensus top-5 prospect in all of baseball for a relief pitcher. hmm

That's gotta be hecka rare move to trade a guy rated that high.

Per the internet buzzing the asking price for ace relievers has been really high. My Yankees are in desperate need of bullpen help (another blown save last night) but that's a pretty steep price that I think took them out of the market. Yanks only top 50 player is also a 2027 projected SS and he's considered untouchable for trading.

Mason Miller is under control through 2029 so you have the today for SD by traded away a tomorrow. They will have three all-stars in their bullpen. Still, ballsy move that better get them into the WS from their wildcard spot. Playing it "safe" in the Dodgers division isn't going to get them anywhere so guessing that might be the philosophy here. NL playoffs should be good this year.
