My word. They would have been better off taking a chance on a Mr. Irrelevant QB pick than this clown. Maybe that's the goal, just get a passer rating above N9NE

Run game and receiving corps have been fine.It would be nice to also have our special teams units stop giving up free points in games.
The only unit playing somewhat passably well is some stretches of the defense. Even they don't force many turnovers (and the offense has a ton of course, as well as special teams), so their contributions don't show up much either. They're on the field all the time.
JJ HAS to be better, but this guy needs reps and a full off season before we throw in the towel on a rookie QB contractBuffalo made the right choice in moving on from their rookie who struggled early..

Oh wait...
He’s not only been bad, he’s showing he is injury prone. Only positive has been the glimpses of mobility.
You're stuck with this season no matter what, but if he keeps rolling out there for a few more games and still does not show any meaningful growth, I'd rather cut away too early over too late.I am not ready to give up on JJ. But he has been truly awful. And he seems to get worse each week. I just want to see SOME sign that he has it. Because to this point, he doesn't.
This. He just literally can't seem to play the position. It's just so hard to watch. You're stuck with this season no matter what, but if he keeps rolling out there for a few more games and still does not show any meaningful growth, I'd rather cut away too early over too late.
It's not like he's just playing "Sean Mannion" bad. He's basically playing some of the worst QB football played in decades. We're closer to Josh Rosen or Nathan Peterman than a Davis Mills or Mason Rudolph type setup. None of that is good, but there's levels to it, and we are decidedly on a really, really, really low level.
I think all I can say from the couch about the draft strategy is that your coaching staff runs a long, deep pass-heavy offense and wants to lean on that. You've gotta be looking to draft guys who have thrown thousands of balls in college -- not guys winning games on 15 completions per while the rest of the system around him does all the work. Take Bo Nix for example -- that guy threw nearly 2,000 passes in college games. JJM threw just over 700 total.
Allen was NEVER this bad. And he showed progress during his rookie year. I recall he had a nice game vs the Vikings that yearBuffalo made the right choice in moving on from their rookie who struggled early..
