***2026 Minnesota Vikings***

I thought McCarthy passed the “eye” test today. Looked much better, but still things he can improve on. Keep in mind he is just 22 years old

Play of the game was the blocked field goal. And I was actually glad it wasn’t retuned for a touchdown. Vikings were able to use over 3 minutes of the clock and still made it a 2 possession game.

Feels like the Vikings season is just starting now with all the guys they were missing in the first half of the season.
They looked pretty close to a complete team again today and it showed in a good win. Just since JJM last played: Addison back playing, both tackles playing, Van Ginkel playing, Jones playing (for a half...) ... these things add up. The microscope is always on McCarthy, but the picture overall has been much larger than just him this season. Minnesota needs some dudes to stay on the damn field.

McCarthy had a decent game and has a lot of room to improve over the rest of the season. Amazed at the crazies calling for a complete teardown after 2 games from a rookie quarterback. Viking fans need to realize that we are playing in the toughest division in football and are slotted with a difficult schedule that makes the playoffs unlikely. This year is all about getting JJM's feet wet and building for 2026.

Our schedule coming up is brutal too....so I hope our fans don't overreact if we take some falls here and there

Just need to see JJ keep progressing. It won’t be linear, there will be ups and downs, but if he can stay healthy and make tangible progress throughout the year, that will be a success going into the offseason

JJM looked better for sure. I will give him a ton of credit to go into that atmosphere with very little gameday experience, and carry out the game plan from KOC. That being said, he still has a long way to go to become a better and more fluid QB. He will have more bad days coming, but hopefully many more good days.

Brady said it best over and over: the poise and the tools are there. He needs to work on being decisive and ball placement. Less forcing, more touch.

His scrambling and running ability is far better than I expected at this point already. He can definitely extend and make a play. It's just about making the right play, and that takes time.

Alright, I’m back on the McCarthy bandwagon and hype train.

I honestly thought we had no chance and the game wasn't on local TV so I just did yard work. Looks like I can't watch the rest of the year.

JJM and company really kept the fanbase engaged. The goal should still be the playoffs.

10-7 seems really doable looking out at the schedule. I'd call at Seattle and at Green Bay very likely losses. Throw in another one because that's how the NFL is.

But they just went out there (for the first time all season) with essentially the full compliment and beat the division leader on the road. That's a big deal, IMO.

Looking at the remainder of the schedule, I think we need to go 2-2 in our next 4. 2 winnable games at home (but Ravens with Lamar will be tough) and then 2 difficult road games at Green Bay and then Seattle. Then you have a beat up Commanders which should be a W, at Dallas which will be a toss up, at NYG which should be a win, then home vs Lions and home vs Packers. I think we end up 9-7 and just miss the playoffs, but feel pretty good heading into 2026.
