***2026 Minnesota Vikings***

There's no reason to be reactionary, based on one game, either positively or negatively. Still early in the season. Today didn't make him any less likely to get an extension, any more than the Houston game made him more likely to get one. NFL teams don't operate on one game sample sizes, and if they do, they aren't run very well.
Still liking Darnold after today’s beauty…..

Still liking Darnold after today’s beauty…..
This might be the first game where I say Nick Mullens might've honestly played better. Still might've had two or three picks, but he also would've had a TD or two probably.

Darnold was just...slow today. Had plenty of time on many snaps. He kept using too much of it being indecisive and then forcing bad throws instead of living to see another down.

Pray McCarthy will be better than this next year. Darnold playing his way out of Minnesota for sure.

Lucky to get a win today, helps when you play Mac Jones. KOC has done a great job, but he needs to keep things simple instead of trying to outsmart everyone. Why on earth are we running a reverse in the red zone in the 4th quarter? Just keep it simple and kill the clock and we win

That's called the "Darnold Effect"
He's gotta throw to people in close fields that aren't JJ. Every INT he threw (except the 4th one called back for penalty) targeted JJ. That's what bothered me yesterday -- he often had plenty of time to throw. He kept forcing to JJ anyway. There had to be better options on those throws.
