Ha yep. We are conditioned as MN pro sports fans. It's eerily similar to ISU sports...get near the top of the mountain then invent new ways to fall back down.
Regarding professional Minnesota sports teams (leaving the Lynx out of this) : If you are an athlete looking to win a title, simply ask for a trade or a release to go elsewhere. It's been 35 years since any team made the finals, let alone win it. It's a sad reality.

Thought the Wolves had a chance but still a piece or two away from title contending. The Twins are usually competitive but a non threat in October. Vikings seem to have a decent team every other year but non competitive in playoffs. Wild have ridiculously underperformed. This year was slightly better.
Without a salary cap, the Twins have no chance. The Vikings at least have a Seattle punchers chance.
Yep. Unless Twins find a new owner willing to spend...which they won't. So yeah the ceiling is first maybe second round of the playoffs.
It's time to cut bait w/ SWR and Adams. They are both average AAA arms and add nothing to the Twins.

Will be interesting to see after sitting out the entire ‘27 season if the union gives in and accepts a salary cap.
Some teams can compete without a salary cap, the Rays, As, Brewers,Guardians. But what they conveniently forget to mention is that none of those teams have won a World Series since the steroid bash brothers.
