***2026-27 Mens College Basketball Thread***

If any of you have been on CycloneFanatic.com for a while you know that I am a proud dual ISU/UNI fan.

Not ashamed to let the board know that I was sobbing tears of joy at the end of the UNI game. Just a huge accomplishment for that team to win four games in four days like that after an underachieving regular season.

I love March for the tournament, and I love it even more when my two favorite teams are playing in it.

Not worried about a 2 or 3 with Florida moving to the 1 line.

Would love ISU to beat another Hurley
Doesn't a 2 vs 3 potentially make a difference in location for 1st 2 rounds if we're battling with a team also wanting same site?

ISU could play in St Louis as a 2 or 3.
Believe same for OKC.

And right now if ISU is a 3 higher probability to go to St Louis than if they are a 2

I'm a UNI alum and cheer for both teams. I also teared up at the end of the game. I'm just so happy and proud of that team.

You have to look at the other conferences. The current 14 lines on bracket matrix are all teams sub 110 in metrics. UNI is in the 70s.
You are being very technical, and I get it. I am just saying, there is a possibility that it could happen. UNI will be in a range (12-14) that can be manipulated if they wish as an AC from a one and done conference. I am fairly certain they will fall in that range. You can quote me on it, if I am wrong! :)

Let’s get Leon Bond and Nolan Minessale.
Both Wisconsin guys….
I like both. Problem is neither are great 3 point shooters, so would not help our spacing issues. My preference would be Bond if I had to pick one. I watched Minessale last night and he does a lot of nice things, but to me it didn't look like stuff that would translate super well to the P5. At least not the Big 12. He is a slasher with a lot of nifty old man ymca moves. Great footwork etc. Played small ball 4 and was posting up a lot. I could be wrong, but I just don't see it translating all that well in my amateur opinion.

Bond has played in the P5 and possesses decent guard size and athleticism. He also does things I'm sure he wouldn't get away with in the Big 12, but I think he's closer playing in the Valley than Minessale is in the Summit.

They played their worst game on Thursday vs Evansville honestly. Looked like the best team in the Valley rest of the way

Yep. Only had a Torvik game score of 54 against Evansville, but then beat higher seeds the rest of the weekend, two of them by double digits. Coming together at the right time, for sure.

Wild ending to Boston Navy. I'm not sure if the clock started right though
