*** 2025 Week 7 (Oct. 8 - Oct. 11) CFB Games Thread ***

nobody in Wisconsin cares honestly... they are all at the Brewers game... or watching the Brewers on TV. There was hardly anyone at the Badgers game. Fickell is a walking dead duck... nobody cares.

It's homecoming.

People are checked out but there were a lot of people in Madison today.

I’m curious as to how Ole Miss’ 3-point escape from unranked Washington State and Alabama’s 3-point comeback over a team 6 spots below them in the rankings will somehow both be spun into a deserving move up in the polls.

I mean, Bama is gonna move up simply because Oregon and Oklahoma lost, but … if you’re Ole Miss and you’re a 33.5 point favorite at home and you have to come from behind in the second half to win by 3 over a non-P4 opponent … do you really deserve to stay at 4 or even move up to 3? Or is SEC poll inertia going to just be too much?

(To a certain extent I’m a believer in “wins matter, no matter how ugly they may be,” but the pollsters certainly seem to value some wins much higher than others … so if they were going to be consistent they should devalue some wins just as much. Not to mention the deal where they’ll rank a team higher than a team that beat them on the field, for some reason.)

Might have been a lot of people in Madison today (mostly Iowa fans I'm guessing)... but not many went to the game evidently... tons of empty seats at the start of the game tonight.
