Matt Campbell on consulting college, pro coaches for insights into playing overseas

Its a pretty good read….let me sum it up

“@alarson is a ******* Clown”

Again, i brought data. You brought assertions and insults. You're welcome to bring actual data and not just coachspeak.

“Coachspeak” LMFAO

Thanks for the chuckle.

It’s been a long day at Jack Trice.

Your data is limited and you are now the Clown Of all Clowns

Keep it going.

Would you two just kiss already?

CMC is great but it was an FCS team and Iowa who is allergic to offense. There’s nothing to really prepare for when you’re facing bottom barrel teams
I’m afraid to quote CMC as getting called out for coachspeak,

On Tuesday CMC specifically said it’s not necessarily the week after the trip but it’s the grind of week 2 and 3 that can really bite you.

And Bottom of the barrel Arky State is now 6 days away.

I can assure you the Cyclone Football team is gassed right now.

One more game then a well-deserved bye.

The school dropped them, they are collapsible. They are hinged at the bottom. Thats why you saw a couple people carrying what looked like extra large suffleboard sticks. They use them to lower them.

Then they can remove the uprights.

Many schools have went to them in recent years.

Iowa State upgraded to "indestructible" ones a couple decades ago after they were torn down a couple times and have not been brought down since, not for lack of trying.
What makes them indestructible? Electrification? Concrete filled? Heavy gauge steel? Constant emotional ‘support’?

I believe they are MUCH heavier gauge steel. But dont really know for sure. I just remember after the last time they were torn down, they said they were installing new "indestructible" ones. And multiple times after that people have tried and they were not able to get them down. I remember people being half way up one upright with others jumping on the crossbar and all they did was bounce and tilt, but would not come down.

After trying a few different times people stopped trying. I think the last time people just sat on the crossbar and enjoyed it.

They used to try to protect them with police when there was a field rush, but never could stop it. Now they dont even bother trying to protect them, because they are made to withstand it.

Turned on the Arizona game and Jeff Woody was talking. Weird stuff

Some info on ISUs goal posts:

The so-called “indestructible” goal posts were first installed at Iowa State in 1998. Typical goal posts range from $3,000 to $7,500. Tom Kroeschell, ISU media relations director, said Iowa State’s cost more than that, but the move made sense for safety reasons.

And the collapsible ones places like Mississippi St have:

CW and Blum had a conversation about it and they said they were negative 15 or something like that.
I looked it up, posted elsewhere. From memory, last 3 losers were 14 games under 500. But FSU last year was 10 of the 14. Nubs was maybe 4-8 and Navy was 6-6; something like that.

Its a real thing but it isnt the mummys curse either.
