Incredible play by Spaun on the back 9 after 5 early bogies. And to make that 70' putt on the 18th to guarantee his win was an incredible big moment putt. Going into that putt based on the distance and the pouring rain- I thought he'd most likely 3 putt.

Couldn't be more happy for a dude who just grinds.

I feel for Sam Burns, as that is two heartbreaking weeks in a row. Glad that JJ made that putt so that the standing water judgement call was pretty much irrelevant.

I think the rule is pretty easy there, do you see standing water or not? If two officials didn't think so, I think it had to have been minimal (if you're going to judge it by water spraying off the club on a practice swing, you may as well pack it up for six hours after every hard rain). From the camera shots, that's certainly not anything that I'd ever think to ask for relief from.

He did collapse, just was fortunate everyone else did as well. In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.
This might be one of the dumber posts on CF. Shoot 32 on the back 9 of one of the toughest golf courses on the planet. Goodness f*cking gracious, it was absolutely incredible. And to go birdie-birdie to finish is legendary sh*t. They’ll play that drive on 17 and putt on 18 for 50 years. The putt probably for 100 years. Literal perfection.
