This years draft is absolute trash after the first 4 picks or so. Lots of guys who would normally be late first rounders that’ll be in the lottery just because you have to pick someone! Demin has enough upside (if he develops a shot) that a team will take a chance on him in that range. More likely in that 10-15 area.
The mocks have the first ~20 picks or so all being college freshman- many whom didn't have a ton of success this year - . When the draft sets up this way, it ends up with the NBA playoff teams at the end of the first round getting the most game ready rookies (like Broome, Clayton, Wolfe, Clifford).

Pretty much. Teams picking early have their hands forced more or less to take the high upside, high risk plays. Those NBA ready guys low ceilings but high floors don’t move the needle for ****** teams, but can instantly play decent bench roles on good teams!

Did Bloom say we should expect some transfer portal activity yesterday? Was he talking bout Jones leaving on the womens team or we expecting some news soon?

It feels like the mocks haven’t caught up to all of the Europeans that will inevitably take a bunch of those spots. Presumably NBA teams are trying to keep those guys secret from each other.

A 6-foot-5-inch, 220-pound guard, Lucca Staiger was not certified for competition for this season in October due to his participation with the Ehingen club team in Germany. The NCAA ruled that because two members of the team received stipends for their participation, the club is considered a professional organization. The school was appealing that decision.

I remember when a foreign player lost a year of eligibility for playing on a team whose players got a free cup of coffee. Now they can play professionally before coming to the US to play in college right away.

I think guard is mainly the problem Mason Williams will be good but the freshman are gonna neeed to step up if we want to be good. Also why doesn’t anyone talk about xzavion Mitchell he’s playing out of his mind offensively
Mitchell best position will be SF/PF with Milan, Joshua, Nate, Pleita and Mulder there just isn't a lot of minutes available to see him play early. Not saying XF couldn't earn minutes but makes sense he's the least talked about freshman.

Will definitely need Bateman and/or Toure to step up and be able to play meaningful minutes and score for us to be towards the top of the league. TJ is due to hit on another freshman or two that can play right away.

Honestly Last year was an outlier with TJ and Freshman. 3 out of his 4 years at Iowa State we have had at least 1 Freshman be a big contributor. Year 1 was Hunter, 2 was Lipsey, and 3 was Milan. I think Batemon will join that fraternity next year.

Because he's gonna have to play a different role than he did in high school I would imagine. Plus his defense is an unknown since he didn't play much of any in high school. He definitely has the athletic ability to play defense. You don't become Mr. Basketball of Wisconsin if you don't have skills.

Couldn’t he play the two I feel like he could slide in tbh
