"Colossal fumble" was the statement. It's a stupid take. TJ recruited a player and didn’t get him. I'm guessing he's not curled up in a fetal ball and, instead, has moved on.
LoL! TJ don't curl up in a fetal ball..... he goes and does about 35 reps of 225lbs!

I'm trying to think of the impact freshmen we've had. I think Hoiberg, and Michalik in '91, Haluska was pretty good in '02, Jake Sullivan on '03.

Who else? Who were the best impact freshman since then (or before)?
Rashon Clark had a pretty good freshman year, '04, about 7 ppg, 4 rpg.

Stinson and Blalock 03-04. Wes Johnson 06-07. Brackins 07-08. Ejim 10-11. Niang 12-13. Monte 13-14. Wigginton 17-18. Haliburton and THT 18-19. Hunter 21-22. Lipsey 22-23. Momcilovic 23-24.

All guys who were really important/impactful to their teams as freshman in the last 20 years or so.

Boom! All at once, haha. I was trying to go a little slower.

Cannot forget Georges Niang, 2012!!! Indeed.

Melvin Ejim became so good his last couple of years here, but he averaged 10 ppg, 6.7 rpg his freshman year, 2010!

Exactly, I dont know why people are obsessed with all these Virginia players when they were terrible this year in the weakest ACC in modern times. If all these guys were so good you would think Virginia would have at least been a bubble team.
This is why I wouldn’t want Dylan Harper or Ace Bailey on the Cyclones. Bad team, clearly bad players

Oh? George Niang, Tyrese Haliburton, Lindell Wigginton, the guy who transferred to Texas, Momcillovic, Lipsey, Stinson, Blakock, etc etc. They were all better than Haluska or Sullivan.

Hey Rip Van Winkle, you been asleep the last 20 years ?

What’s the story with the kid from Monmouth, big time scoring guard. Too frail for the B12?
Do you mean Abdi Bashir? He looked anything but frail the couple of times that I watched him play. He’s been near the top of my want list for players that I would like to see as a Cyclone. I am not sure but he might be out of the ISU price range, unfortunately.

Not sure why we are recruiting guards. We have Heise, Williams, Bateman, and Toure. Maybe we pick up someone who can play some point? 2 guard is stacked.
