I hope i am wrong but after watching every game last year I don't see Jefferson as a better post defender, especially against size. Same on offense, he can create shots 10 feet and out but he will struggle against size the same way he did this year. Love his game but he is a great stretch 4.

To me, there’s just not a lot of bigs that could flat out punish Jefferson inside. We play way more stretch 5’s than real post up threats. I kind of feel like he’s going to spend half his time at the 5 unless we somehow pull Cluff. That said, playing him there leaves him a little more vulnerable to foul trouble and that wouldn’t be good.

Agreed. Also, I'd say he's a good rebounder for his size, but we still need a proven rebounder to help him out. Was another reason I was hoping for Cluff. A 10+ pt 8+ rebound guy in-addition to JJ would be gold in this lineup.

We'll probably never know, but if he did return to Ames, was it to let TJ raise the ISU offer?
