2025 Transfer Options

Nojus getting 1 million to play at Pitt probably says more about why he transferred than the theory that he wasn't good enough to play here says.
Nojus will do well at Pitt. He fits their system well. He's going to score a lot of points. Good payday for him, but I doubt that’s why he left. If he was good enough in TJs mind and system TJ would have played him during conference season.

I think it was pretty unrealistic for him to have expected a big role this past season. CW addressed this in his mail bag episode last week. Playing behind Jones, Gilbert, Heise, and Momcilovic minutes were going to be slim pickings. Nojus knew that coming in. What I still don't understand completely, and CW didn't really shed anymore light on, is why it was so seemingly predetermined that bringing Nojus back to compete for minutes at the 2 or 3 against basically what amounts to Momcilovic, Heise, Williams, and 2 freshmen was so unadvantageous for Nojus. The path to a lot of playing time this coming season was *right there* for him to seize. My only thought is if it wasn't money, he must have just really not vibed with the system and/or culture.

It’s not exactly a theory. He literally was not capable of seeing the court for our team last year. He may do just fine at Pitt getting to be a chucker who doesn’t want to play D, but that wasn’t going play here.
