Bhatia will never get anywhere being so overweight.

I've convinced myself that the glasses are hurting his golf game. I can't imagine a day like yesterday where it's 100 degrees wearing glasses on the golf course.

It doesn't help that LIV has completely watered down the field either. I used to watch a ton of golf but I'm basically down to the majors. I did watch most of yesterday because it was hot AF and I actually had a little free time.

I do think yesterday was interesting in the LIV/PGA debate. LIV had their finale with quite a bit on the line-- overall winner, team winner, relegation, etc. And there wasn't a ton of intrigue to the BMW other than a few people around that 30 man cut line. But Scottie stole the show again and all I saw about LIV was making fun of the fact Rahm could win the overall without ever winning a tournament.

I fully understand, and agree, that he already has to be considered one of the all time greats…. I just find myself turning the channel most weeks now…. he’s not that entertaining to watch.
The most entertaining thing he did was go to jail in Happy Gilmore 2. Outside of that, yea he is a snooze. But dude can play.

It seems like several have reached "greatness," but haven't had the mindset to continue at that level. McIlroy, Thomas, Speith, Rahm, Koepka, Deshambeau, Schauffele, Matsuyama, ...

Is it that they make plenty of money without winning and the incentive isn't as strong?

I should have included the return of Rahm and DeChambeau as possible challengers to Scottie. Not sure how likely that unification is, as it seems to be dragging on forever.

It’s really difficult to play at world number 1 level for an extended period of time.

There's a reason Scheffler's achievements are reaching heights not seen since Woods, Nicholas, Palmer. There's really not room for more than one dominant player in an era. There's often a challenger, Mickelson, Player, Miller, for example.

LIV didn’t actually take as much “talent” as is commonly perceived.

Sure, they definitely took some but also took a whole bunch of washed up looking for a payday.

Sebastian Munoz is definitely an improved player.

I think it’s been devastating to Jon Rahm and he knows it.

He’s wasting the prime of his career playing grabass shotgun start junk.

He did succeed in the filthy rich part but he’d have done that playing real golf.

Yeah, in the majors he looks like a guy who is under an enormous amount of pressure (probably from himself) to do well.

The swing speeds are so fast and strong, the injuries seem to be more common.

Tiger was also a freak of an athlete and was able to stave off for a longer period but eventually it caught up to him….along with other things….

Actually, what Mickelson has done avoiding major injury has been pretty remarkable.

I still have no idea how they hit the ball 220+ out of deep rough. I've got pretty strong hands and a decent game, and I'm still just happy to advance something 150 in that scenario.

That's kind of what I see with Rahm. Still a great player that presses too hard in majors, and doesn't give a **** in LIV because he realizes what a sideshow it is.

Totally agree... I struggle so much out of the rough as well.

I know that you have to come into the ball really steep and hit mostly all ball first... but I don't know how they do that? I try and try to come in steep.... and still can't advance it all that far. I do find it easier with a hybrid or like a 5 wood or something though. the face doesn't get caught in the grass as much.

Yeah, I can do the steep thing with a 9 or maybe an 8 if it’s not crazy thick, but nothing that’s going to go 220

The tour is returning to Doral next year for the first time in nine years.

Not only that but it will be a signature event that will cause havoc with other venues on the schedule.

I’d swear half the reason they left is because they ruined the course trying to bomber proof it.

Justin Thomas off to a good start at the Tour Championship. Currently 7 under thru 13 holes.

Russell Henley shoots 9 under 61 to lead by 2 shots over Scheffler after 1st Round.
