This. I don't know if Hunter deserved to have his number retired, but it's not a big deal. Sheduer's number being retired is ridiculous though.And had it retired immediately instead of waiting 5 or so years like everywhere else just so he could get it done before Deion inevitably leaves Colorado in the next year or two. Since he knows no one else at the school would have retired it.
It's also telling that no one has a problem with Travis Hunter's being retired, because they know how great he was. Sanders was good. He wasn't an all time great player though.
