Would still be a solid pick in the 4th or 5th round. May be lacking in athleticism, but he has a high football IQ and makes a ton of plays every game.
I agree. And he's big, so maybe you add some more pounds and move him up to the line somewhere

I like him at linebacker, even with that slow 40 time. Every Iowa game I watched he was all over the place. Always in the right spot to make the play. I think he had an INT against us this year, and he's a tackling machine. I had him going late 2nd round, but I didn't realize he was that slow. The 40 time probably drops him to early-mid 4th round.

I keep tabs on small school prospects throughout the year, and have been evaluating a lot of them even further lately. There are some guys that are getting a lot of hype. Here are a few that aren't getting the attention they deserve...

DE Elijah Williams (Morgan State) - underrated pass rusher and solid against the run.

QB Cam Miller (North Dakota State) - An Iowa kid. His accuracy and mobility are very similar to Brock Purdy. Has won a lot of games in his college career. If I was an NFL GM, I would take a chance on this guy in the 7th round.

CB/S Robert McDaniel (Jackson State) - Versatile player that has decent cover skills but really good in zone defense and he can play the run.

OG Aiden Williams (Minnesota-Duluth) - Lower division player so there's a good chance he will go undrafted, but he has potential to be a good backup and potentially a starter after some development. I'm a Minnesota-Duluth fan, so I'm rooting for this kid.

QB Tommy Mellott (Montana State) - Taysom Hill 2.0 is what I call him. He could find a role with a team as a utility player, the way New Orleans uses Hill.

TE Carter Runyon (Towson State) - smaller TE but he can run block. Elite pass catcher.

Higgins tested horribly, and hurt himself with his performance. Looking at best a 6th/7th round pick, maybe not drafted at all. He was smaller than many thought at 6 foot, 224 pounds, the NFL combine his grade at 5.80 average backup or special teamer. Guy is either going to be very good or struggle to make the league, was very productive as a player in college, but will struggle in pass protection at the next level. Kids is just a football player, but he also is year older than many, lot of miles on that body.

Agreed. Tested worse than Mike Rose and is significantly smaller. Would guess undrafted. Only chance is if Kirk has any pull left in the NFL

Higgins is one of the kids that played at a very high level in college, but EIU only plays zone, so he rarely had to cover a guy. His lack of speed is going to hamper him getting into his drop area at the next level. His strength is coming up to make the tackle, kid plays with heart, and very good instincts, a team may get a gem by taking a flyer on him, or be a total washout.

Darien Porter's official measurements:
6'2" 7/8
195 lbs.
9" Hand
33.18" Arm
80" Wing

Malik Verdon's:
6'3" 5/8
218 lbs.
9.48" Hand
32.48" Arm
78.38" Wing

With his measurable and ST contributions, I feel like Porter is gonna go earlier than we expect. His profile feels like the the kind of guy that will be a core ST player for like 10 years, whether he is a starting CB or is just a depth piece.
