I've been amazed at how many analysts have been pushing the Browns or Giants to take Sanders just because they need a quarterback. If you don't think the quarterback is going to be "the guy", don't take him and pick up a veteran guy instead. Too many of these draft guys focus on team needs instead of best available.
Yep, don't reach for a QB if you have other positions of need. Especially if those needs are OL, because getting a young QB without protection is a recipe for failure.

Noel putting up 23 reps at 225lbs while weighing 194lbs is one of the most impressive things I've ever seen at the combine. DK Metcalf blew up social media by doing 27 reps at 228lbs.

23 was 4 more than the 2nd best wide receiver.
23 tied the most for running backs
26 was the most for linebackers
21 was the most for defensive backs
He out benched some of the DT, DE, TE and OL at the combine

Guys Noels size don't do that. His combination of speed, agility and strength in the slot could be insane. Percy Harvin like.
I’m not a fitness guru, but I work out a lot. It’s my understanding that about 1.5X your body weight is a really good max bench (meaning you can do 1 rep). Or at least I hope it is based on my performance!

So for Noel that would be about 290 lbs. He did 225 (1.15X his body weight) 23 TIMES! According to the Epley formula his max bench is about 400lbs. Over 2X his body weight. That is insane.

Don’t get me wrong- I think Jeanty is a fantastic running back..

But he’s a 5’8 running back that probably runs a 4.5+, who beat up on the mountain west.

In the playoffs, sure he had 100 yards, but did it on 30 carries and had around 3.5 YPC.

I just do not see him working out as a top 10 pick.

With Jeanty i think the important thing to remember is how much mileage his body has already seen. The colts have seen this with Jonathan Taylor as well. Seems like hes always hurt, and a large part of that is because of the stress and mileage that BSU put on him

I wouldn’t touch him in the entire 1st rd if I were a GM. Way too much risk there.

I guess his interviews were awful…. shocking!
I'm guessing every answer was "I'm the best there ever was, just ask my daddy".

There is a difference between confidence and narcissistic and while I don't know him on a personal level at all, what I have seen of him in interviews makes me lean towards the latter. Just like his dad.

My suspicion on Sanders is that they are really trying to control which team picks him...or at least limit it to places they don't want him to land. So sure they might give anyone an interview, but the kid isn't going to put on the charm for a team that they prefer doesn't draft him.

Hoping it doesn't happen but the Jeanty to the Bears gambling odds have sunk at the books today. Rumor is they might trade up to #5 (Jags). Somebody know something?

I was chatting with a big bears fan and we discussed who the Bears should pick in round 1. He asked what I thought and I immediately said O-Line. Nah, he says, the Bears got two guys in free agency they are set. No, I said, they are the Bears, you get O-Line no matter what because their lines have been awful. They have enough weapons on O to win, but if QB1 can't stay upright it makes no sense getting more weapons. But, the Bears will probably do Bears things.
