Hopefully it turns out they go higher than this but this is what I will predict :

Higgins: mid to late 2nd Round
Noel: early 3rd (slot WR's tend to drop a bit)
Porter: early 4th (still a bit raw so don't know if a team will use a Day 2 pick on him)
Hopefully all to the Commanders. If Jayden Daniels had McLaurin, Deebo, Higgins, and Noel to throw to, giggity. Commanders could use help at the corner pretty badly so Porter could plug in right away and get a lot of snaps.

Giants need to win now for their coach and GM to save their jobs. If they draft a developmental QB at #3, they deserve to get fired. They SHOULD add either Hunter or Carter - whichever is there - and automatically improve their starting day roster.

But it’s the Giants and they can’t seem to even take a leak without pissing on their own shoes so who knows.

Wilson is on a cheap 1-year deal and Winston is a backup, bridge QB at best. If they draft a QB at 3 he's probably going to play this season. Maybe 2nd half of the season, but he would play.

And often, drafting a R1 QB could be seen as a lifeline to the front office...if he appears to be working out, they get the psychological free pass.

You think Noel is going that high? Most mocks and rankings I'm seeing have him in the 75-100 overall range, which would equate to a third round pick.

I think the above scenario is probably the chalk scenario.

However there is a lot of "mid" in the WR class this year and the UFA market for WRs was very weak. Meaning, the draft profiles for the WR are not necessarily clean-elite prospects, but many fall into the 'very good' category. For teams that might be more desperate to add a WR, they could get steamed up a little bit, and both our guys have the tape and production and testing profile to benefit in that scenario.

Higgins is seen as a potentially elite-upside player and somewhat unique in profile among the top WRs as the best true X after Tet. He could get mid-to-early 2nd capital if a team wants that. One other dude is Ayomanor that fits the X type, but he has some demonstrated weakness at actually catching the ball. However he was able to beat Hunter when they played Colorado.

Noel -- as I said he has absolutely crushed the pre-draft process. While he is a "slot" WR he has the explosiveness (and film to match) that many of the other prospects do not have, particularly winning against man coverage. I agree the chalk has him likely a pick in the 3rd round, but if a team really loves Noel and his profile (and they have that need) he could go sooner. Maybe a lot sooner.

Had they signed only one of Wilson or Winston, I’d agree. Signing both seems to indicate they only go QB at #3 if they have a chance at Ward (highly unlikely). Giants go Carter/Hunter at 3 is my guess. Or try to trade back and get someone like the Michigan DT.

I usually don't get all "fan boy" when it comes to hoping Iowa St players go to my favorite NFL team (Chiefs) but I'll be crushed if Noel becomes the next Puka, and he's not playing for my team.

For sure he does, but how often is he hurt? That’s my point.

He's only missed ~2 games each of the past 2 years (& never more than 3 games in a season). He's been in the league for 6 full seasons, which would go against your 5 years "max" timeline. I understand you're not talking about DM, but plenty of bruisers last over 5 years.

I agree...but damn, David "trucked/trucks" defenders, then now.

The difference between Monty and Skattebo is that David jukes and jives and breaks tackles a lot more than trucking defenders. Skattebo has more of a tendency to run through people to break tackles, closer on the spectrum toward Mike Alstott. The latter type of running is bound to shorten his career.

Yes. The analytics/film guys that seem to evaluate well have them in the WR5-8 range and have been praising them unapologetically. Obviously there are teams early in the draft of R1 that can shape how drafts trend, like if a few teams take WR over RB, that could potentially make a run on WR. Common teams that show up with WRs in mocks earlier would be the Panthers, Saints, Cowboys, Broncos, chargers, packers, texans, commanders. If there's a run, maybe Higgins can sneak up in the late R1, but I see him more in earlier R2. I kind of see him being the only 1 of the 3 with a possibility of doing that.
Another reason is wondering how teams view Matthew Golden on whether he's a R1 WR or not.

I was just thinking about this, this morning. The Panthers are the kind of team that would profile perfectly to take a chance on Noel. Perceived need for a strong 'culture' dude AND a huge need for playmakers at WR: here you go, Jaylin Noel. End of R2 or early R3.

This mock draft on NFL.com has Jaylin going 41 overall to the Bears. Higgins went in the 3rd to the Patriots -- personally I think that (3rd round) seems unlikely, but who knows.

Honestly Noel would be pretty awesome to the Bears with Ben Johnson as HC. Some of my favorite NFL content guys comp Noel to Amon-Ra St Brown. It's pretty uncanny how similar their games could be.

Man I hope so. That franchise is a disaster.

LOL @ the Chiefs 'exploring a trade' for Breece Hall. Man I'd love it as a Chiefs fan but that level of reporting would probably have about 30 teams on that article. There's no way the Chiefs get Breece unless the Jets are taking a bath in what price they are getting for him.
