I like to start next to the neighbors, so in case the first round is a real sh$t show you might think it is not mine.
This guy must of had something off with his GPS or something a year or 2 ago. About every other pass down the field it looks like it shutoff about 10 feet before the headland. Another year he either planted the wrong type of soybeans or used the wrong chemical because I noticed about half his field of beans were dying not long after he would have applied some chemical. He did replant after that but those beans were probably a good month behind the ones he didn't kill off.

Have a friend that works at Pioneer and 1 year they had an issue at one of their plants where some seed corn got put in the wrong bags that was not Roundup ready. They started to get calls on it once people started to spray and pretty sure they wound up having to pay out some losses on that mistake.

I'm assuming the problem with it shutting off was he had the boundaries screwed up so it reading it like an external boundary instead of internal and shutting off the row clutches. Technology...…

My neighbor sells show cattle all over the Midwest. One of his good customers called him in the middle of planting seasons. His gps would not hook up to his planting tractors. 2 24 row planters were sitting still because no gps to the tractors. No markers on the planters. Sh$t happens.

In 2008, the coop used Liberty instead of Roundup. Initially didn’t admit the error and told me things always look a little rough right after spraying. Went out to the truck and brought in samples. Everyone immediately had something they needed to do and left the agronomist alone. Asked to see the work order then showed them my paperwork when I preordered. Oops. Changed coops

IANAF (not as fun as I am not a lawyer) but I watch Millennial Farmer and some of the issues he has had in the past with some of his setups are mind boggling and I can imagine incredible frustrating.

Federal crop day today in Iowa for corn. Will be interesting to see how many planters are rolling this weekend as I think there is a good chance to see a few guys going in NC to the east side of NC IA this weekend. Conditions seemed to be good while knocking down some ripped ground to pick up rock the other day.
Ground is 38 degrees. No rush, boys.

I remember being home from college around the same time and my dad going off on the coop manager about something similar- come to find out they did a crappy job of cleaning out the sprayer and left alot in the bottom of the tank and the wings. Similar thing- We started doing our own spraying the next year

Saw a little bit of everything today spraying (early), planting, NH3 Application, hog manure being applied, ground rolling, field cultivating.
Attended Cys House of Trivia, saw only 3 running late between Ames and the Dirty.

Little bit of everything around here. Lots of NH3, lots of dry spreading, 32% pre going on, a few guys planting, few working up ground, some strip tilling, litter/manure being spread. Bet tomorrow you see the green flag drop.

Got a field of NH3 done and got the last field of manure done. Was going to plant corn, then wasn't going to plant corn, then was going to plant beans, then wasn't going to plant beans. Still in the not going to plant this week with the wet and cool weather coming later this week.

Had a few emails and texts from seed companies saying not to do anything until after Wednesday. But you know the boys down here on the southern border will let it fly.

I have a few more days of fertilizer application to do so that'll keep me from trying to scratch the planting itch.

Like everything, depends on your operation and risk level. I am going to start planting plots tomorrow in NE Iowa. Going to be a slow start with the forecast, but going to at least get first day $hit out of the way
