2025 Bracketologies

I'm pretty sure the play by play guy on Duke game said this is Duke's 1st game vs a ranked opponent since December, when they played Auburn! At home.

That's crazy.
Perhaps somebody mixed up the Blue Drake D and the Blue Duke D! :)

The ACC is BAAAAAD this year. It's the other reason why I don't trust Duke outside of the Flagg injury.

Behind those 3 teams just seems wrong. Do injuries affecting wins and losses not matter anymore?
They really shouldn't have much of an effect. Can't really say we 100% win every one of those games we lost. Hypotheticals should be taken out of the seeding process.

It would require the committee to know about the injuries. I doubt they are as schooled on the ISU season injury struggles as we all are. The numbers are the numbers and it’s a crap shoot of what they’ll focus on.

(1) who cares? The Big 12 is a strong enough conference, and ISU has played a brutal schedule. Why is it OK for the SEC to have their 5th and 6th place teams with top 3 seeds, but not the Big 12?

(2) once again, who cares? We literally threw our participation in the tournament by sitting arguably our two best players so they can rest injuries for the NCAAs... and we still almost beat BYU anyway.

(3) which is why we're a #3 seed and not a #2 seed

(4) Lipsey is probably at least getting spot play next week, and we more than likely don't need Gilbert to get through the first weekend.

But hey - props on an absolute beauty of a "nutcup" post.
To believe that we can survive on spot minutes from Tamin and no Gilbert and get to the Sweet 16 is incredibly unlikely. We need Tamin at close to 90% at a minimum.

Texas A&Ms top player missed 2 games they lost. Another loss was without their 2nd best player.

Purdue and Arizona were very healthy, though.
