If Towns doesn't get his fingertips on this I think Spurs might have won. Castle was breaking open for the lob but had to come back to the ball after it was deflected.

I didn't see this in real time. I thought it was a terrible pass but it was just KAT being huge.

This was one of the worst officiated games of all time, Knicks were mauling Wemby and the ball handlers the entire second half. They didn't pick up a team foul in the second half until the game got close, with all the gambling going on, the refs obviously got a call to not let the Spurs win big and it snowballed.

Three plays that stand out with a minute left:

  • Castle fouled on the baseline, and never actually steps out of bounds on replay. The Knicks get the ball, when Hart clearly fouled Castle
  • Anunoby gets Fox's hand and body looking at the replay. Refs swallowed their whistle again
  • Alvarado commits and over and back violation before getting fouled by Fox.

Great play by KAT there, good read and timing.

Shouldn't that have been a foul on Hart for not being straight up? Legitimate question, I don't know the cylinder/verticality rules across levels.

he ought to flail his arms and force them to call something the way KAT does.

It wasn't a backcourt violation. Both feet and the ball need to cross half court before going back. Only his feet did.
