Flop is when there's no contact. If anything it was exaggerating contact, not a flop. And he had to do it, given the way Minnesota was mauling the Spurs with no calls. Didn't matter though, they got annihilated even while getting away with all the contact.
I haven’t seen them play much outside the playoffs but I wouldn’t surprised if he was told to put an emphasis on every touch after the way Minnesota has been playing him.

That is just wrong. Any definition of a flop includes no or minimal contact. With your back to somebody how would you even know when to flop if there wasn’t some contact? My opinion this was probably a ticky tack foul and a massive flop.

The league basically said it was justified as to how much he was mauled that it just boiled over. Anyone who thinks he was getting suspended is seriously out of touch. I mean he was fouled twice literally seconds before that elbow with no foul called.
My hot take is they won't get over the hump with Edwards. He as talented as anyone but mentally, he's not a guy who can lead a team. Off the court, he still seems very immature and not that serious about bball. His talent has allowed the league and organization to ignore things that most other players wouldn't get away with, you would think that would have helped him turn a corner but it doesn't seem that way. He's much more a James Harden, Russ type of player than a Kobe, Bron or SGA type of guy, just not a championship level player.
I can't see them ever moving on from him so he'll need another big name to come to Minnesota to ever be able to bring them a championship. The thing is, the Wolves have made lots of moves, he's been surrounded by as much talent as anyone the last few years and it hasn't mattered. This is their ceiling with him.
Idk, there were a lot of reason they lost this Spurs series and he wasn’t one of them. They got basically nothing from Gobert, Randall or McDaniels. Someone needs to step up when Ant is drawing double teams and nobody could so the Spurs just kept him locked down.
I’d argue he’s the reason they’re seeing even a little bit of success in the playoffs the last couple years.
They need a legitimate co-star and a steady vet at the point. What Jrue Holiday was to Boston…and Milwaukee. Gobert is not the second best player on a championship team. Ant can swing a series if the rest of the team can play them to even. I’d agree with the other comments on maturity/leadership, hence the steady vet point guard. Hope they build around him and not just hope he overcomes an average front office.
But that’s just like my opinion man.
So the real NBA finals is probably between the Spurs and the OKC Foul Merchants. I don't think the Knicks or Cavs have a shot against either team.
That is probably right but if the Pacers took OKC to 7 games last season, I think the Knicks could at least make it a little interesting. I have no feel for the Cavs. Odd team.
