NBA: *** 2025-26 NBA Thread ***

It’s incredible to me we’re 1/4 of the way into the season and another year where Jokic is the top rebounder, top passer and top 5 scorer.

He’s making a case for most statistically dominant player ever on a per year basis but the # of years he’s doing it is becoming significant.

A lot of earlier comments about Cooper Flagg.
He's been playing a lot better lately.

There wasn’t more defense back then. It was just more 1 on 1 iso and lack of team offense. Look at the usage rates and shooting percentages.

It’s not that defenses are bad (some are). It’s that players are way more skilled now than in the 90s offensively. Most NBA teams throw 5 starters out there that can shoot 35%+ from 3.

I do agree they need to make the 3-pointer more difficult. But, the NBA game is wayyyyy better now than in the 90s and 2000s.

Depth of talent and shooting is better. International players alone have made insane jump.

There is like 35% less room for an American player in today’s game.
 
Both these teams going to be a problem for the rest of the league for awhile given their young cores.
