So, if he sits next year, it would go something like this: Sit out next year, wrestle two, apply for and get Med RS for 23-24, the freed up RS would then be used for when he sat out 25-26, and he would get to wrestle that final year.

Right?
Holy **** that was confusing, I have to go see a psychologist now. No. He has 2 years remaining. A third year remaining if he wants to take the medical year which he should be granted. He’s either a junior next year or a sophomore with the medical year back essentially

No, next year counts no matter what. He has already redshirted. If he doesn't crack the line up he goes from 3 years to 2, assuming he's granted a MS eventually.

Sitting out next year doesn't gift Jacob another year of eligibility. He has 3 years left (assuming he will want to apply for a medical RS). Evan has 2 years left (assuming he doesn't get injured and then also have an opportunity for a medical).

That also means Jacob will wrestle off somewhere next year regardless.
Correct it’s gonna be a bloodbath to see where this thing finally settles out dang…

Someone explain who we have at 133-157 and list all the possible years of eligibility left for each guy and pin it somewhere for reference…to me the Only guy I can say close to 100% has a spot is Ech? He seems
To be the one whomever goes against him can’t get around…

Another task for those better than me…what do the National weights look like coming back and with Ech reality what weight SHOuLd he go at to maximize his potential and team pts 41 or 49?

133- Evan Frost: 2 years left
133- Garrett Grice: 2 years left
133- Osmany Diversent: 4 years left
133- Blake Giomo: 3 years left
133- Carter Pearson: 4 years left, Redshirt available
141- Jacob Frost: 2-3 years, three if he applies for a medical redshirt
141- Sam Hrabovsky: 1 year left
141- TJ Koester: 4 years left, redshirt available
149- Paniro Johnson: 2 years left
149- Anthony Echemendia: 1-2 years left, two if he applies for a medical redshirt
149- Carter Fousek: 2 years left
157- Kane Naaktgeboren: 4 years left
157- Logan Stotts: 3 years left

and to maximize team points, I would say stay at 149 if Johnson moves up and the Frosts stay down for team points, but if he wants the most potential, I think 141 because Jacob Frost would have a chance to move up, but Evan probably wouldn't be able to move up without having a spot, so 141 would be the best for Ech, but 149 would be the best for the team.

My source said there is no reason not to expect Ortega to be eligible. Don’t know how many years. Also, the thought is if he is eligible, 133 is his spot hands down. He’s that good.

I wouldn't be shocked if Ech goes 141. He was not that big at 149
Hard to imagine that both Frost brothers could be on the bench next year. I don’t know much, but to me it’s too early to take Cotton for the 97 spot. I’d hold for something unforeseen or give Nate &. Tate a go.

I don’t see a scenario where the Frosts are both on the bench while healthy.
That specific scenario is.. Ortega is eligible and wins the 133 spot.. Ech is at 149.. and that leaves 2 Frosts and only 141. I assumed Ortega would not have eligibility until cywr89 suggested otherwise.

And in this scenario they would not both be on the bench… I think that’s the confusion. I also don’t see anyway they both are on the bench this year.

Ahh... BOTH on the bench.. Reading comprehension is hard.. that gave me ACT flashbacks.. yeah I don't think there's any chance of that

How about:
133 Ortega
141 ech
149 pj

Not likely, but not impossible and maybe both end up sitting.
Ech is really good but if Evan ends up better at 141 he could potentially beat Ech. Ech on his feet is a monster but Evan is more well rounded.

I mean if we get someone else for 157 it's possible, but right now it would make no sense to bump a frost out of the lineup to get kane/whoever else in. Without a 157 addition AND assuming Ortega is even eligible you would have this
133: Ortega
141: Frost/Ech
149: Frost/Ech
157: Johnson

I agree with this except I would lean heavily towards Ech's neutral ability over Evan's well roundedness. Maybe some of it was his rumored hammy issues and he'll improve even more next year, but it seemed like guys were getting to Evan's legs a lot. So, in wrestle-offs, I would give a huge advantage to Ech. I have no inside info so maybe that's not how it has actually played out in the room if they've wrestled much, but that's my guess as to how it would go.

Ech hasn't wanted to go 141 a single season he's been here reportedly, I don't see why we would force him into a logjam with two frost brothers and either forcing one of them to bump up to 149 or leaving 157 barren. I really think this is a non issue.
