Ech hasn't wanted to go 141 a single season he's been here reportedly, I don't see why we would force him into a logjam with two frost brothers and either forcing one of them to bump up to 149 or leaving 157 barren. I really think this is a non issue.
Ech was going to go 141 last season before he had the infection in his ankle. He might go 149, but I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up at 141 next year

My impression was that he was always doing that stuff for the team, to let Casey into the lineup the first year. After which he said something to the effect of "never going 141 again". And then last year to to let Johnson in at 149. Maybe I'm wrong there? That's always been how I understood it.

I wonder if Evan's injury could linger all next year leading to a MRS and syncing back up with Jacob's presumed eligibility timeline. Would also solve the logjam issues. :)

I'm mostly kidding, but the way this year went, its a good bet that someone gets hurt and it's nice to have depth at those weights to mitigate the dropoff.

Ech was planning on wrestling 149 and Paniro 157 because Chittum was out the beginning of the year. Ech got hurt.. Chittum came back.. Paniro slid down. None of the 3 had to wrestle off and there was no controversy considering the timeline.

125 - Meza, Castillo
133 - E. Frost, Meza
141 - J. Frost, Ech
149 - Ech, Paniro
157 - Paniro
165 - Euton, Riggins
174 - Gaitan
184 - Dean, Bartelt, Naak
197 - Elam, Bartelt
285 - Bastida, Herrera
I feel like euton has the 165 spot locked. Also it pains me to say this but MJ just didn’t look as good as the year prior while I believe Riggins got better as the year went on so i definitely could see them battling for the 174 spot.

I think Riggins looked better at 165 than 174.....but that could have just been his overall growth towards the end of the year.

MJ gets an entire offseason to focus on getting stronger and training instead of losing weight to go do down a class. I love MJ and look forward to what he can do for us over the next two year.

MJ needs consistency and really needs to work on that this summer. I remember talking to St. John and he said the same thing. Needs to be more disciplined and overall needs to just get better at wrestling.

I wouldn't count Riggins out at 165 , showed a lot of improvement over the year

I’d have to agree. Man that’s a tough spot I really like euton, looked good prior to his injury.

Either way I feel like they both could have a great year next year if they stay healthy.
