2025-26 Lineup

This is why I could never give my prediction. It hurts my brain because you can’t really make any spot 133-157 because we have to many studs.

This is probably a crazy thought...could get even crazier if EFrost can't make 133 as speculated or if Cody won't redshirt.
125 - Meza
133 - E Frost
141 - J Frost
149 - Ech
157 - PJ/Casey
165 - PJ/Casey
174 - MJ
184 - Naak/Bartelt
197 - Carroll (we've given 2nd chances before)
285 - Yonger

Ultimately, I'm guessing we lose someone to the portal, but hope not.

Dresser will definitely hit the portal for a few weights this offseason.

125 - Meza/Castillo
133 - Osmany/Meza
141 - E Frost
149 - J Frost/Ech/PJ
157 - Swiderski/PJ
165 - Euton/transfer
174 - MJ
184 - Bartelt
197 - transfer
285 - Yonger

Chittum redshirts. Most likely someone in the 141-157 range wears another singlet next year.

Not because they don’t like ISU, but so many good guys and so many programs after transfers with $$.

I agree it would make sense for one of the guys to transfer, but I can’t imagine who. They all seem to really love the program.

Totally agree.

No idea who and would love to be wrong but just seems like those are the odds.

Will be especially interesting with 30 man roster limits.

I will probably get banned for saying this but Evan wants to bump up I can almost guarantee he & Jacob would be the ones leaving. I would be okay with that if it allows us to bring 2 high AA at need weights.

I think Osmany will have something to say about 125/133.

I understand this and don’t challenge it.

I really feel like ech casey chittum and the frost bros wouldnt leave. maybe PJ but even that seems unlikely

What schools have an engineering program like Iowa State? That would be the shortlist as far as where they could end up.

Personally I don’t want them going anywhere. They are exactly what you want out of guys in a program

I love ISU and ISU wrestling; this program is the best it’s been (minus a few yrs in the late 90s) since coach nicols had it rolling in the 70s.

With that being stated, could KD have done a better job of allocating recruiting resources in the upper weights (‘74-97) to avoid the logjam in the middle weights?

Perhaps some of the athletes in the middle weights progressed more quickly than expected and this logjam was unavoidable?

Example, Casey, Frosts, Ech, PJ have developed better/faster than expected? We all know the Cody addition was not expected.

To me it seems we are really good 33-57/65 right now and the obvious weakness is 65-97.

Again I’m not unhappy with what KD is doing and I fully trust the programs direction and leadership.
