2025-2026 MBB computer projections thread

After the game yesterday, Milan (54%), Batemon (47%), Jefferson (45%) and Toure (41%) are all over 40% from 3 with at least 20 attempts.

Only Lipsey (33%) and Heise (30%) are below that mark.

It's not a huge sample size, but it's not tiny either. We are 1/3 of the way through the season.

And it's not just shooting from deep - according to Torvik we are 3rd nationally in 3P%, but we are 17th in 2P%. Everyone with at least 10 attempts is shooing at least 55% from 2.

It's hard to wrap my mind around, but we have enough data to show our offense is elite. They shoot well and many of the players have great court vision and passing ability.

Heise is going to go on a heater at some point too

66% chance of winning @ Kansas is absurd.
It will still be a tough game for sure, always is, but this is the least nervous I've been about a KU road game in years. Not just because of our team. KU doesn't look like they have a great deal of depth (by KU standards).

They also don't have their best player playing at the moment...which probably won't be the case when we play them at KU.

Predicted, End of Season for Iowa State: 29-2 (16-2) with losing at BYU and at AZ. Arizona is also predicted at 29-2 (16-2) while BYU is 27-3 (15-3). Houston is predicted at 28-3 (16-2) so I guess a three way tie for regular season.

Feels like the difference between the haves and the have-nots in the B12 is going to be bigger than ever this year.

It feels great but I refuse to get as excited as a lot of you are right now. It's December. This is a really tough conference and there's no way we're going to zip right through it. You're just setting yourself up to be letdown when we mail in a game here or the refs screw us over there.

I just want the boys to play to their ability and stay healthy so they can be at their best in March.

Doesn't it take 6 games to win the Natty? If we can string 6 games like we played at Purdue together, we will be national champions.

I can understand the cautious optimism.

Still, look at those sexy predictions…
