2025-2026 MBB computer projections thread

Up to a projected #3 seed right now.

Forcing an undefeated non-conference slate.

Still need to take care of business in the Big 12 at that point.

But if they can win those next two big ones... a very strong foundation for a #1 seed is laid down.

Just for fun...

BUFFALO = #1 Michigan | #10 Michigan St.

GREENVILLE, SC = #2 Duke | #7 Louisville

OKLAHOMA CITY = #5 Houston | #9 Iowa St.

PHILADELPHIA = #8 Connecticut | #15 Kansas

PORTLAND, OR = #12 Gonzaga | #16 Illinois

SAN DIEGO = #6 Arizona | #14 BYU

ST. LOUIS = #3 Purdue | #4 Vanderbilt

TAMPA = #11 Alabama | #13 Tennessee

I would assume the fanbase would most want St. Louis for a first-weekend location. Gonna need to get ahead of at least Vanderbilt and probably Purdue to make that goal happen. Programs like Illinois and Kansas are also going to be competition for it if you don't stay ahead of them. Big game coming!

Huh? I used to have a client in Chickasha, OK and we would stay in OKC and hang out in Bricktown. Lots of nice restaurants and mini riverwalk.
Was just joking about hating on St Louis. I haven't been to the NCAAs there so I really can't/shouldn't comment beyond.

StL is fine, it's just not set up as well. There isn't enough to do at Union Station which is right by the arena and Ballpark Village is just far enough away to be an annoying walk from Enterprise Center.

The arena itself is fantastic. The absolutely nailed the renovation a few years ago.

This is somewhat what I had assumed, proximity of where games are played to other entertainment.

Wasn't sure where to put this and didn't feel like starting a thread. (Link to article below.)

"There were a handful of upperclassmen who don't necessarily have a ton of hype with draft media, but look much better than advertised up close and personal. Iowa State's Joshua Jefferson is one of the most efficient players in college basketball. He's also 6-9 with an NBA body, physical style, and inside-out skill. His passing ability in particular really stood out in Vegas with 18 assists against five turnovers, including 10/0 against Syracuse. Teammate Milan Momcilovic isn't a prototypical NBA athlete or defender, but his shot-making and wing size would certainly translate."

Although we don't have an option as close as Omaha, it's good to have two that are reasonable distance for fan travel.

Also, since we should be hoping it's expectation for second weekend, Chicago and Houston are possibilities for regional site.

If ISU could get StL or OKC, then feed into one of those, that'd be cool.
