If A&M can afford to pay Jimbo over $70 million to go away, Florida can find that for Napier.
I mean what's the point of all that SEC money if you can't scare up seven figures to get rid of your coach mid-season?
UF firing Mullen has just gotten more hilarious every game sinceNapier wont make it throuh the season.
Reminds me of Nebraska. We will see if it gets to that level of hilarity, but definitely has similarities.UF firing Mullen has just gotten more hilarious every game since
Mullen lighting a cigar after every Florida loss.UF firing Mullen has just gotten more hilarious every game since
If a school is settling for 9 and 10 win seasons, paying players $20 million a year, not including NIL, you have to think more and more SEC ADs will balk at paying their head coaches $10 million and $30 million buyouts.Reminds me of Nebraska. We will see if it gets to that level of hilarity, but definitely has similarities.
I wonder as more and more of the so called "blue bloods" get put together in the same conferences, and ultimately are no longer able to go undefeated or close to it marching through their respective separate conference, how many of these will end up in a downward spiral.
No way Bama, Georgia, Texas, OU, LSU, FL etc all go year after year with 12 wins, I guess maybe because they wont always play each other but its still going to be an issue.
This is why all those big names moving on and forming something on their own has issues. Someone has to lose, and losing at those places is unacceptable in any way. They cant handle 10 win seasons, let alone 7-8 win years.
Does this look any different than our boards during a game?
I hate to see what this place would look like with top 10 recruiting/tranfer classes and a slow start..Nope.
At this point I have to think every fanbase has been lampooned on that account.
