Besides Brady, who was the last team to make the Superbowl with a QB they acquired in free agency? Maybe you count Nick Foles? Although he only played in the post season.

To be clear, I'm not arguing with you that a team selecting QBs at the top of the draft every 3-4 years is a recipe for success, but the alternative doesn't have a great track record either.
Well I'd expand on my earlier point to include free agents or trades. Rams won a SB after getting Stafford through a trade. Broader point is it just makes sense to get your QB either from free agency or trade for a proven guy instead of rolling a $50 million dice on a top 5 pick who will probably bust out.

Hope the Vikes can get Arnold or Verse at #23, but they’ll both probably be gone by #17. Johnny Newton might be their pick there.

No defensive players yet. That's pretty crazy. Going to be some really good players available on that side of the ball in the mid teens.

#23 could be interesting since Kwesi has hitched his wagon to McCarthy. I wouldn’t be shocked to see him go offense again now that I think about it.
