You also appear to be saying that Iowas SOS will be as high or higher than it is now. Which It can only go down. All of their future opponents are FAR below ISU or OSU. Unless you think some of those will miraculously skyrocket to the top somehow.
While most of ISUs future are currently ranked higher than what they have played so far. Sure they could go down, or up, but mostly they can only help our SoS more than hurt, as many would have to go down significantly to go down. Iowas SoS is being propped up because you lost to the #2 and #11 teams and obviously the SoS took a huge jump this week playing OSU.
Its simple averages. Unless you can name multiple teams that will likely be in the top 10 when you play them, those will all bring Iowas SOS of 9th down. For instance, ISU plays the #27 team Iowa plays the #34 team, this will bring ISU up and Iowa down. Unless you believe somehow Washington will jump to the top 10 in the next week.
