Last year there were three games, and they were all on ESPN or ESPN2. The previous season, our game vs Villanova was on ESPN. No guarantees, but there's a good chance this will be nationally televised on an ESPN channel.

In that Villanova game, current Wings teammates Soares and Siegrist faced off, and we also saw new Hawkeye Lucy Olsen. Siegrist had 32/12 with 4 blocks and Olsen had 14 points, but nobody else had more than 5 points for them as we won 74-62.

We had five in double digits with three double-doubles: Joens 17/10, Soares 14/11, and Ryan with a near triple-double at 16/9/10.

All I want for Christmas is a VERY good showing against UConn.
Me too, but it's nearly a home game for UCONN. I wish this game were on another date, there is a lot of stuff going on for me then.

The Mohegan Sun Arena is a 10,000 seat multi-purpose arena in the Uncasville area of Montville, Connecticut located inside the Mohegan Sun casino resort. The arena facility features 30,000 square feet (2,800 m2) of configurable exhibition space and a 400-foot (120 m) clear span. It was built by the Perini Building Company, and opened in October 2001.[2] The arena is home to the Connecticut Sun of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA).

Should be a good test. UCONN while still great isn't the dominant team of old and this ISU group is a pretty good in their own right. Probably could end up being a top 10 matchup.

A win would be very difficult but long gone are the days of past when we would play UCONN and lose by 40.

It’s going to be an interesting matchup. UConn, when healthy, was probably the top team in the country this past season. It’s still a case of the historical blue bloods v. ISU. Defense will be what wins the game for either team. They have as much to be worried about playing us as we do of them. A good chance to make a statement early. Getting a win against them and Iowa will be a mighty big statement.

UConn is playing a heck of a NC, schedule so far with 23-24 poll #'s:
  • @ ND #11
  • Louisville @ Barclays 12/7 #30
  • Iowa St @ Mohegan 12/17 #25
  • USC 12/21 #5
  • Tenn #26
  • @ South Carolina #1

Saw in a post elsewhere that UConn is UConn is 41-1 overall at Mohegan Sun.

Are there factory photos of the new board, or is it a custom job?
Per Iowa board of regents minutes from February, it'll be made by Daktronics, which does a wide variety of scoreboards. I'm guessing at ISU's scale, there's really no such thing as a non-custom job.

I looked around a bit and didn't see any public mock-ups of what it would look like.

The athletics department will seek board permission to replace the sound systems and all video displays at Jack Trice Stadium and Hilton Coliseum during the time window of fall 2024 to fall 2025. The project also includes replacing the video board at the Lied Recreation Center, site of indoor track and field competitions, and video boards and sound system at the Cyclone Sports Complex, home to Cyclone soccer, softball and outdoor track and field. As proposed, the estimated $16 million cost would be financed through the regents' master lease program (First American Bank) and repaid with athletics department revenue and gifts over 10 years. Video components would be purchased from Daktronics, sound system components from One Diversified.

Pretty sure something was posted in one of the forums here.

EDIT: Ta-da!
