True Casey will be using a medical or redshirt. Not even sure what Paniro is considered.

My guess is that transfer market might be bigger than the high school right now.
I think Paniro would have 1 left. Casey should have 2 left thankfully.

I just want a healthy Casey to see him lay it out there on the mat and be that leader

Paniro has 2 more years after this year. The same as Swiderski, Frost, MJ, Euton (except he could get a MedRS for 3 more), & Riggins.

Okay thanks for clarifying on PJ...I was still unsure with last year what the final outcome was on that. Still a log jam of guys in that weight range but like you pointed out all of those guys are basically poof gone at the same time so need to fill the void

Matscout Willie has his final 2025 class rankings. ISU comes in at #19, with Castillo the big get. UNI at 18. Not great, but we also don't have many holes in the lineup. Feels like we were in the running on some of the top guys but didn't get em.

See that Terrel Miller 'flipped' from Iowa to Iowa Western CC. #59 ranked for 2025 class and #5 at 197. Not sure if it's an admissions issue or he wanted out. Luddington is 1 at 97 and also headed to Iowa.

Don't forget JUCO years don't count towards your clock, might be going there to not have a logjam

In response to a recent legal ruling the NCAA has implemented a temporary eligibility waiver for JUCO athletes. Here are the key points:

  • Who It Affects: The waiver applies only to current or former JUCO athletes whose eligibility was set to expire. These athletes are being granted one additional year of eligibility.
  • Who It Does Not Affect: Incoming JUCO players (e.g., high school seniors entering JUCO this fall) are not included in this waiver.
These new JUCO athletes will follow the standard eligibility rules as outlined by the NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association)
  • Why This Matters: The waiver allows eligible JUCO athletes to extend their college playing careers. It also impacts how four-year college programs recruit from the JUCO transfer pool, particularly for the 2025–2026 seasons.
This ruling is not a permanent rule change and is currently only applicable for the 2025 season in light of the legal case.
